No Need To Worry, It's Only Heat Intolerance

***Warning: This post, although true, is done with a light heart.****

97 was the temperature in my house when we left at 5:00 last night to head out for the hotel. I have noticed that it is so hot the creepy crawler's who have grazed us with their presence have taken up a new residence since they too no longer get to enjoy a break (my house) from the heat.

I have been playing a little game with Old Republic trying to get my AC fixed before the weekend (3-5 business days is unacceptable in this heat). They told me yesterday that I would be getting a phone call today to let me know when someone would be over to get it all fixed. Instead of waiting a couple of hours I called them, so that I would know if I should book the hotel for one more night. Anyway I will get to the point. The Angela, the lady I spoke with at Old Republic kept me on the line while she called the AC guy to let him know the part was at the warehouse and we just needed to know when he would be able to schedule to get it put in to my AC, keep in mind at this point that the lady had just told me it wouldn't be today, way not acceptable. I guess Dan from Sensible Heating and Air didn't hear Angela say I was on the other line because he just went off and said: "I went to the ladies house yesterday and she had a bucket of water in front of a fan and a swimming pool so she has other ways of cooling off". For those of you who live in Arizona you know that the great thing about the heat here is it DOES NOT I repeat does not cool down at night, that means your house only gets hotter as the days go by and so does your sparkling pool. I was not to soft in my tone of voice at that time when I told my dear friend Dan that swimming is only possible before 11:00 AM and that ice in front of a fan does nothing except make my brain think that I am some how less hot. He then said, "Oh Mam no disrespect to you I was only saying you have an intolerance for heat". What a dumb guy, ya think. When it is 113 degrees outside and my house is 97 and the pool is 93 I have an intolerance it is called stupid people. Anyway I think he felt pretty dumb at that point because it is now 9:30 and the tech has been on my roof since 8:30 this morning putting in the new compressor.

I just hope he doesn't come back and say that the compressor was not all that needed fixing and it will be 3 more days. If that were the case I would really blow my top.
