Today I received a phone call from A and A Cottages, our foster licencing agency, saying that we are now licenced. It has been 8 months since we first went to an orientation where John and I both felt VERY strongly that we needed to become foster parents. I didn't realize then that it would be such a long process but it has been a good one. I am so happy to finally be licenced, the last few weeks have been very emotionally up and down. We are now just waiting for the state to choose us to care for the children that come into the system. I know that I have no idea what I have gotten myself into or what to expect but I am so happy that we are doing this.
