I am one of those people who prides myself in being organized, until I try to find something. Before I left for a walk I decided to take my pedometer (I don't use this very often or ever). As I am looking for this I remember my mother-in-law offering me one while I was in Utah last month. I had told her no since I had one at home (I thought this offering was her attempt to nicely tell me I needed to lose weight). As I was looking for this object I thought to myself, I should have accepted it but quickly thought "NO" I can't let her think that I am weak and need her in any small way, this will only put a gleam in her eye and pride in her heart, I must not show her any weakness, besides if I had taken the item from her at the time I would just have one more object to get in the way of my goal to find what it is that I am looking for. I persistently looked and just as I was about to give up I thought to myself (I do this a lot) I will blog about my experience, surely the world cares and can relate. As I sat down I saw my little pink church bag and that is when I remembered that it was in this bag the whole time.
Moral of the story: Blogging is good and the world (at least my friends and family) does care.
By the way I really do love my mother-in-law. She helps me out a lot and I already talk to her pretty much all the time.
It's always in the last place you look. Glad you found it. :)Karen
ReplyDeleteI would have thought the same thing if my mother in law or even my mother offered me a pedometer!! Great story!
