Our Prize!!!

Last May John and I went out house hunting. One of the builders we went to was doing a "Now is the Time" sweepstakes. It was one entry per family. I put John's name ont entry form. As I dropped it in the box I said "John you are going to win". Two or three months went by and John got a phone call from one of the builders corporate guys who told John that we won the trip. John asked if this was a joke and the guy responded saying "Everyone asks me that". We had forgotten that we had entered because we didn't take the entry too serious. They chose the winner by pulling our entry form out of all the entry forms from ALL the builders sites from all over the country. Its crazy that we won but super cool.
At the bottom of the blog is a picture of John with the big check and balloons they gave us at the check ceramony (thats what they called it). This was a fun event and John and I were just so excited to have won, John never won anything until he met.
We have chosen to take our trip to Kauai over Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun to plan where we are going to stay and what activities we would do. I don't usually plan trips the way we did this one because I usually try to make them inexpensive but I had $5000 that I had too spend on this trip so we planned a helicopter ride and a kyaking trip and a snorkel trip.
