Some like surprises, I like to be prepared. Either way it is a surprise if I wait 6 more months or if I find out today. I like to know if it is a boy or a girl so that I can give them a name and start bonding, I also think it helps John bond better when he knows if he is going to be teaching how to protect or if he will be doing the protecting. I can only think of girls names Aspyn Mae and Maria Winn, this is a bad sign because we could only come up with a boy name before we knew Brigham would be Brigham. Today could be it, the day I find out if we are having a boy or a girl. I should be excited but I am SO nervous. What if it is a girl? I don't know how to raise girls. They are different then boys. Girls don't like it if you look at them wrong boys give you strange looks because they think they are funny. Girls wear pink boys wear dirt.
I really don't know what I am going to do if I am having a girl. I am a girl and that makes me an expert on how difficult girls are. I can handle running around chasing my little guy trying to keep him out of trouble but I don't think I can handle hurt feelings. Brigham doesn't even cry when he gets hurt. On occasion I think "oh good, he fell, now he will let me cuddle him and comfort him." But I am always wrong, he doesn't need to be comforted he needs adventure.
I have a strong feeling that my life is about to change drastically, I also have a feeling that deep down I am going to love it.

My dad said that the only difference between raising girls vs. boys is that you teach girls to sit down when they use the toilet, and you teach boys to stand up.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your thoughts on raising girls. I would be totally happy if I only had boys. But of course would love a girl, too.
