Changes

There are certain things in life that consume me; Having a baby is one of them and moving is another, both of these have taken place in my life in the past 5 months.  There really hasn't been anything I don't like about having a baby except that recovery takes a really long time.  I am getting used to little sleep because frankly I enjoy peeking into the crib and seeing a big toothless grin, it gets me every time.

Moving on the other hand has it pros and cons.  One of the things I enjoy about moving is being closer to family.  I thought this was going to be an unpleasant adjustment but I have really loved grandmas and grandpas and aunts and cousins googling over my greatest treasure, Brigham.  I love that it is chilly outside and there is snow on the tops of the mountains.  I love the smell of Autumn leaves, I love cold rain (something that doesn't happen all to often in AZ).  I love that my baby's first Christmas might be white, but will for sure be cold and cozy.  There is something so magical about this time of year and the change of the season.  I love the mountains and I love all the maple trees.

I will miss my dear friends in AZ.  I will miss being involved in my friends' lives.  Being near family I don't rely on my friends for as much so I don't feel that I really open up as much.  I will miss serving in YW's, I will miss the young women.  They are all such great girls and it was so neat to be a part of their lives.  I will miss the monsoons, (I enjoy warm rain just like I enjoy cold rain, I really like rain).

Changes are good, there are loved ones I am saying good bye to and loved ones I get to be closer to.  I don't ever miss unpacking and being unorganized, I enjoy everyday that I get a little bit closer to having an unpacked and organized place.  I will miss little things about my house, like the pool but I don't miss the responsibility and worry that comes with a house, and I wont miss cleaning 3 bathrooms.

All in all I was hesitant about this change but I have been loving it.  I love being home and I love that my baby is growing up near his family.  He will be around for the few short years his grandparents have left and I love that.
