Do you like to Blog?

Sometimes we as woman just like a good ole' sounding board. It can be difficult at times to try and exclaim to another person some of your fears and frustrations only to have them tell you how you can fix something that you don't really feel needs fixing. I was explaining to my husband that I didn't desire a problem to be solved I just wanted to be told I was doing a good job; this is when John said, "That is probably why woman like to blog." Although I don't think this is the only reason woman blog, I think he has a valid point. When you create a post you have a sounding board and when someone comments you get validation. I also think we get validation reading that others get frustrated in their own lives too. I really enjoy learning more about my friends and family and the goings on in their lives.

  1. The blog can be good and bad, bad when you look into others lives and everything seems "perfect" thats why I Like people like you who are real and post good and bad things because we can relate and you become human...some are just too good of blogs to be true :0) Or maybe they only post when good things are happening (like me! :0) ha ha!) Also the sounding board yes its nice to have people comment and sometimes when I dont get any comments I feel I want to ditch my blog because "No body likes me everyone hate me!" :)0 ha ha!

  2. I blog because I need a sounding board. Thankfully, Robert is good at just listening and not offering solutions to my problems when I don't want them. I like the validation I get on my blog and hate it when people criticize me or belittle my problems. There are a lot of things I would like to blog about, but I feel like some people would be too critical and I'm afraid I just couldn't handle it. And by the way, thank you for being so positive about your pregnancy all the time. It is hard to hear women complain about their backs hurting, being sick, or having heartburn because when I hear that I think to myself "I wish I could have back pain and heartburn because that would mean that I was pregnant."

  3. I agree that it's wonderful to blog because of the connections it brings and especially with other women. As women we have divine gifts of nurturing and love and it's great to get/give that from other women through blogs. I personally like to focus my blog on the good things in life. Of course not every moment's perfect. But I find that if I celebrate what is good then I don't focus as much on the negative and I'm all around a more happy person. Plus I think back to times in life where I longed for marriage or longed for motherhood and think I'd be pretty ungrateful to complain about them now. You sound like you have a lot of the same attitudes, which makes your blog so fun.

  4. A lot of my blog posts are my way of venting, like a journal...but it always makes my day when my words are validated by someones comments!
