This is our story

John and I met at his roommates surprise birthday party. John says he tried to talk to me but I brushed him off. I don't think that I brushed him off. It doesn't matter either way now because we are together.
A few days after the party I went to John's place, I was friends with one of his roommates. They were watching a football game. I thought John only watched football because his roommates did, it turns out he like the sport a lot. I got them to tivo the game and go to a movie woth me. I didn't know then what I know now, that was a big game for Boise State and they won. John sat next to me and we talked the whole time. I started having a bit of a crush on him.
That Friday John's roomate called me to go to Wendover with them. John and I were the only ones not gambling so he took me to dinner. We didn't know it then but that was our first date. He took me out a couple of times that next week.
The following Monday John was going to his families monthly birthday dinner and I asked him if I could go. I didn't want to miss hanging out with him. John was happily surprised that I wanted to go, turns out he was liking me too.
We had so many fun adventures in our short time of dating. We went to one of my friends cabins and it started snowing a lot we tried to drive out of the canyon but we were sliding every where and decided to turn back around. We couldn't get the car back up to her cabin so we left it at the bottom of the drive until morning. When we went out to the car the next day it was gone. it had been towed. We walked back up to the cabin and tried to figure out what to do next. It was then that I thought I wanted to marry John. He handled the whole thing so well and he wasn't stressed. He just laughed and carried on.
When the weather warmed up a bit we took a road trip to San Diego. I was a bit worried that we would run out of things to say. We didn't and we still haven't. That trip was such a blast. I am glad that Danya and Alex Smart were nice enough to let us crash with them for a bit.
John said that he knew he wanted to marry me when I wouldn't move to Alaska with him. He realised that he didn't want to go to Alaska without me. Then he realised that he didn't want to be anywhere without me.
We got engaged on March 5th. John took me to the thai restruant he had taken me for our first real date. After dinner he blind folded me with a tie and told me to duck so that cops didn't think he was kidnapping me. I thought he was taking me to a cemetary but he didn't. He took me to the avenues where we could look out over Salt Lake Valley. And then he asked me if I would marry him. I said "Yeah" and he said "Good, I have something for you" and he pulled out the ring. I guess I wasn't going to be seeing the ring if I had said something else.
Being engaged was stressful and we were both very happy to have it over with. We were married in the Salt Lake Temple. On June 1st, the happiest day or our lives so far.

We want to Thank EVERYONE who helped out to make it the most beautiful wedding. We had so much help. Michelle took amazing photos, Tish did a wonderful job decorating the cake with flowers, Nani decorated the food table and all the sitting tables. Mom made so many yummy treats. Mom Aland and all the Aland family did the awesome luncheon, that food was so good and the place looked so beautiful. Everyone was so great. Thank you.
